How The Universal Championship Should be Booked

There has been many rumours floating around recently about the Universal Championship, how long will Brock Lesnar hold the title for? Who will he drop it to? Well I’m here to not only tell you all the latest news and rumours about the belt but my personal opinion also on what should happen

The original rumour for the Universal Championship came just after WrestleMania 33, after Brock Lesnar beat Goldberg. The rumour was that Lesnar would hold onto the championship for a full year until WrestleMania 34 where he would verse Roman Reigns to put him over. Now, the other details weren’t as clear. Nevertheless, we all know how much WWE Creative like Roman Reigns as the top dog of the company, so it would make logical sense, and let’s admit that Roman Reigns is indeed best for business.

However, other rumours have started to circulate these past few weeks. One of the biggest rumours been instead of this happening at WrestleMania, that Roman Reigns would win the Universal Championship at Summerslam from Brock Lesnar. Now personally, this would be the route I would go down, to only have Braun Strowman win the Royal Rumble match and take the Universal Championship away from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Braun has been one of the other guys drawing ratings for RAW, and the feud between Reigns & Strowman is FAR from over, but we all like to see Strowman laying a beating on Reigns every now and again…

That’s of course, if this last rumour doesn’t happen of Samoa Joe actually winning the Universal Championship at Great Balls Of Fire. If this was to happen, no one, and I mean NO ONE would see this coming and would not only be a surprise, but seem legit with Joe having the martial-arts background, and I’m looking forward to their contest.

Editors Note

Personally as I’ve already said, I would go down the route having Roman Reigns winning the belt at Summerslam, with Braun winning the Royal Rumble and taking the Championship away from Roman at WrestleMania. Once Braun wins it, it would not only be a well-deserved moment that we all want to see happen, but imagine the reign Strowman would have, possibly even beat CM Punk’s 434 day reign? I sure wouldn’t mind!

I hope you enjoyed this article. Let us know down in the comments below how you would want the Universal Championship to be booked between now and WrestleMania 34, we look forward to reading what you have to say…
