In a move that sent shock waves through the wrestling community, former Ring of Honor champion Adam Cole is signing with WWE.
Adam Cole Is NXT Bay-Bay
According to PW Insider, Cole will sign with the company and go straight to NXT. He is expected to begin at the WWE Performance Center this week.
The rumors of Cole joining WWE have been swirling for months. Now, he’ll have his chance to shine in WWE’s developmental program.
The 28-year old has had a successful career so far, becoming the first three-time ROH world champion. He was also a member of the famous Bullet Club for a year. That was, of course, until The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega kicked him out of the group. Cole recently trolled the Bullet Club on Twitter, ditching one of their shirts for a Revival t-shirt.

Cole won his first ROH title in September of 2013, holding it for 275 days. His third and final reign ended on March 10 to Christopher Daniels. His contract with ROH expired in May.
Along with his success in ROH, Cole was the longest reigning PWG champion, a CZW World Junior Heavyweight Champion, and an IWC Super Indy Champion. He was ranked as the 9th best wrestler in 2014, according to ProWrestling Illustrated.
Cole joins a long list of former ROH champions joining WWE, including Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, and Kyle O’Reilly.
It will be interesting to see how Cole will fit in the main event scene at Full Sail University. Guys like Bobby Roode, Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black and Roderick Strong are already near the top of NXT. Time will tell if he finds success down at NXT.
